where to eat

Nothing says New Orleans like beignets! Be sure to enjoy these with a fresh cup of cafe au lait for a daytime - or late night - snack.

Nestled in the middle of the Garden District, this restaurant has been a New Orleans landmark since 1880. A steady parade of renowned chefs like Emeril Lagasse, Paul Prudhomme, Jamie Shannon, and now Tory McPhail have made Commander's Palace the world-class restaurant it is today and its leading-edge Haute Creole cuisine reflects quintessential New Orleans at its best. Can't miss items include the Pecan Crusted fish and bread pudding souffle!

In the heart of the French quarter, this restaurant presents classic Creole fare in a 19th-century building with old-world elegance. Be sure to check out the seance room and balcony upstairs!
